We explore the economies of scale and scalability of their operations in other countries and how they have continued to build a patient centred ecosystem around their Organisation. Dr. Aravind Srinivasan graduated in medicine from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore in 1992 and completed his residency in ophthalmology leading to Masters in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital and Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology in 1996. Having worked in the medical field, he had a passion for management. In 2000, he did his MBA with specialization in Strategy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. After MBA, he took over as the Administrator of Aravind Eye Care System and was instrumental in bringing changes to the various facets of the organization. From 2011, he is serving the organization in the role of Director-Projects of Aravind Eye Care System. He is in the Board of GOVEL Trust that runs the Aravind Eye Hospitals. From September 2017, he is leading the Aravind Eye Hospital Chennai as its Chief Medical Officer.
